FØLIUM HOUSE has acquired a K6 kiosk on Whitechapel Road — a 1935 Giles Gilbert Scott design — to become its first physical home. Set to open late 2027, fitted out in oak with a handful of objects behind glass.

A piece of Britain's industrial design, held as the first physical house.
Designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott — architect of Battersea and Bankside power stations, and Liverpool Cathedral — the K6 is one of Britain's most recognised pieces of industrial design: cast iron, domed roof, finished in Currant red. Some eighty thousand were cast. Few remain in public hands.
FØLIUM HOUSE has acquired such a kiosk as a permanent asset. It will be restored and fitted out in pale oak — the same impossible joinery as the mark — with a handful of objects set one to a shelf, behind glass, lit after dark.
It stands on Whitechapel Road, at the mouth of the Elizabeth line station — a corridor carrying in the region of fifty million journeys a year through its interchange. It is set to open, without ceremony, in late 2027.
The kiosk is the future physical face of a store that already trades online today.
